Hush (Asobi Seksu album)

''Hush'' is the third studio album by New York-based shoegazing band Asobi Seksu. It was released on February 17, 2009 through their new label Polyvinyl Records. It includes the singles "Me & Mary," which preceded the album's release in November 2008, "Familiar Light" in February 2009, "Transparence" in August 2009, and "Layers" in December 2009. The album demonstrates a shift from the more shoegazer-inspired work of their last major releases into a more dream-pop, mellower sound.
The album was recorded in the summer of 2008 and was produced by Chris Zane, who worked on their previous album ''Citrus''.
The song "Layers" was featured in the episode "The Born Identity" of the third season of the TV series ''Ugly Betty''.
